PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Zero/Sports Radiator Shroud is used to stop the air that enters the front grill from escaping through the gap between the slam panel & the radiator. In the stock setup nearly 20% of the air escapes from the opening without passing through the radiator and this loses cooling efficiency. It is proven that by adding this shroud, the water temperature can be lowered by 3-5C. Handy as summer is on it's way.




RACING THERMOSTAT ~ £44.21 - 15% = £37.58



PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Zero/Sports Racing Thermostat has a valve opening setting of 71C which is 7C lower than the stock thermostat. This allows the cooled water to circulate back from the radiator faster and hence the water temperature is maintained within the limit of the EJ engine. This helps prevent loss of power from the engine and thermal breakdown of the engine.

The Zero/Sports Intercooler Splitter is designed to optimize all the air that enters your bonnet scoop. The fins split the flow so that air is passed over the whole face of the intercooler. The efficiency of the intercooler is increased by 100% because maximum cooling is obtained and this will significantly lower the temperature of the intake air.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Zero/Sports Air Intake Pipe reduces the turbulence which occurs in the stock rubber piping. Turbulence causes reduction of velocity of the intake air. This kit is compatible with both the stock air box and Zero/Sports Super Direct Flow Filter. This will affect airflow and could lean out the engine unless mapped for it.

He does stock them frayz & I have been asked this over on Scoobycity by Dunc.

What I will do is ring him first thing on Monday & see if he will offer a discount on all of the products that he stocks. As I am sure there may be a few other bits people might want.

I'm interested in a few parts and will await your post for whether or not they will discount all Zero parts.

But as I'm sure your aware the offering of a group buy discount is a play on words, the price they actually retail the parts at is less than the starting price you have been given discount on.

Still hats off for getting a discount from them!!

Just to clarify the "Group Buy" price for the Intercooler Splitter.

• The site lists the RRP or List price. £125.05 (No one ever pays that or do they? David Hendry Cars )
• It is then discounted for normal on line sales by 12%. Zero/sports Intercooler Splitter £110.04 (That's better )
• With the Group Buy he will increase this to 15% or 20% for the radiator shroud. £106.25 (Saving nearly £20 on list )

That's it exactly Andy. They were competitively priced anyway compared to the same ones from David Hendry. I was thinking about placing an order but being always up for a barter I asked about a further discount & he obliged.

I ran a group buy for some Noltec stuff & helped with one for light weight pulleys so offered my services again. I must be mad. It's a lot of work & very little reward. Except for you lot.

I may well be interested in a few pieces from here, but can you confirm if it's the cool action, or the coolaction 2 that is supplied for the intercooler splitter?

And should anyone want an intercooler splitter MY00-MY02 WRX these are on special £83.82 and radiator shroud £35.00 for MY92-MY96 here David Hendry Cars - ZERO/SPORTS Impreza

 

Thank you for your input psigeek.

As you are conversant with the DH site you should see that the part numbers they list match the ones on the EDO site & so are the same item (Cool Action II) but at a higher list price (£127.53 plus vat) & with no discount.

The MY00-MY02 WRX ones you mention that are on special offer @ £83.82 are the old original Cool Action ones which due to the release of Cool Action II are being cleared out.

The Cool Action II ones are now made in treated stainless aluminium which is a 1/3 the weight of the earlier steel models. Most now also feature 3 vanes to split the air flow rather than 2 & so are considerably improved over the old version.

The shrouds are cheaper, £35 plus vat against £39.20 plus vat. One thing to remember is that if you are buying more than one item from 2 sources you incur 2 lots of P&P which could wipe out any initial gain.

All good points here Flat Eric . I'm almost in, the only other question, which goes out to anyone that can answer it, is how do these affect I/C water spray. Is that still able to effectively hit the intercooler between the vanes?

I have just had an order off EDO and the items came quickly, was exactly as described and good comms from start to finish!!!

There must be something wrong with their email account surely??? I delt with them through the RB320OC and Kent PM'd me at all times of the day and night answering my stupid questions!!!
