just a touch under £500 quid is a bargain. i shall be popping down to the bank methinks because i need a set for my old legacy

And by the way they are actually badged Apex Performance. I have no clue who makes them, but they are highly respected on the SXOC and my friend has a set on his s14 200sx and they have been excellent. Cant argue for the price IMHO.

You may not know many people running these coilovers, but they are very good.

I'm competing in TimeAttack with these on my car, and was fastest RWD car in Round 1 and second fastest in round 2. Placed 7th and 8th overall using this suspension, my car isnt even 400bhp and I'm competing against cars with 500bhp+ in fact over half the cars are claiming over 500bhp. so I'm making the time in the corners

By my Calculations, it works out to £486 or there abouts. I might just be up for this. I won't add my name just yet though.
Out of interest, what sort of milage can i expect from the origional shocks on an MY99?

Are these re-badged K-Sports/D2?

I know Apex where the agents for K Sport.

They arent KSport, theyre from a different manufacturer. These are the latest Gen2 units, a significant move on from the Gen1s.

Our local Scooby tuner, Richard Henry Motorsport, runs them on his sons GC8 Type R and rates them about the KWs fitted to his own vehicle. A trip to the Ring recently gave both father and son to drive their cars back to back and the conclusion was that the Apex equipped car handled better than the KW equipped Impreza

You will NOT be dissapointed, these are the nuts providing a decent ride but stillr etaining a high degree of body control for the faster road and on track stuff.

Was that with the normal or inverted struts? Also can these be rebuilt?

Cheers,

Tony.

They are the normal ones. The dampers are just replaced, we dont bother with rebuilding as the damper units are only £75 a piece so its cheaper, faster and easier just to replace outright.

The units are very reliable though and its rare that we experience damper failures
