Default ScoobyECU Groupbuy

Andy at Welcome to Immortal Performance home custom composites has kindly offered us a great price on a groupbuy of these chips for the early style classic Impreza.

We need 5 names and we will get the chips delivered insured for £155.

These chips allow the early Jap cars to be run safely on super unleaded and also remove the speed limiter.

If they are for use on a UK car then it is plug and play but slight modification will be required to a JDM ECU. Andy assures me this is a simple job for anyone who knows which end of a soldering iron to hold! This is required for any of the "chip" solutions. Those that require this socket will be supplied one free of charge.

A map can be supplied which will be generic but tweaked to support your level of tune. If you have any technical questions then feel free to ask or contact Andy who will no doubt have the answer.

The very best bit is we already have four names so just one more and we can get this sorted.

1. Ritch96 - UK turbo saloon TDO5 decat/panel filter
2. Lee DT - MY 95 STI RA Centre decat, panel filter
3. Funsizecar - JDM Impreza saloon '92, decat downpipe, panel filter
4. excursionist - FMIC, Walbro 255 FP,Boost Controller, Blitz BOV,
SMC Water Injection,Up/Down Pipes, Exhaust
5.

Full de-cat. Piper cross induction kit. Always run it on v-power. I was impressed with the power gain. I fitted the chip myself without remapping. Was told when i went for a power run that if i got some one to tweek with it i would be able to get 300+hp

Guys, a word of advice from an ex-classic owner with scoobyecu..................................DON'T FORGET TO RESET ECU....!

Value for money you can't beat it......I remember buying one for £75 on here a few years ago and with full decat, decent filter and correct fuel you can easily achieve 30-40bhp increase.

Don't forget that ALL mods will need to be declared to the "mapper" in order to get the most out of the chip. Uk cars are simple plug and play as the ecu has a 16/18 port to plug into, just cut resister L1(?) and you're off.

Fit chip in ecu, connect diagnostic connections under steering column, green to green and black to black, leave connected and take an easy drive for a couple of miles, this enables the ecu and chip to "converse". On return disconnect green ones, leave black ones connected to do an ecu check which will manifest itself in the CEL on dash....JOB DONE.

The most noticeable difference you'll feel is in the midrange in higher gears from about 3500 rpm.

Enjoy.

Si.

Just to clear one thing up, these are not scoobyecu boards so please dont ask me questions regarding them!! they are however an Identical adaptor board, so direct your questions at Andi.

Si.
Skoosh is right to put a ? against that comment. DO NOT CUT THE L1 LABBELED RESISTOR. The only resistor that should be cut is the one marked J1. You may get a bit of fuel cut to start with but this will soon tail off once the ECU learns.

I have one of these ESL chips from Andy, very good indeed.
