The ESL ECU Daughterboard has been designed to allow pre 1996 Imprezas to be remapped. It has been designed to emulate the long obsolete Fujitsu 27C1028 EPROM. Using modern design and surface mount production techniques we have overcome the issue of obsolescence and will be supporting this product for the foreseeable future.


The key features of our map include:

- Increase in boost to 1.1bar
- Improved boost control
- Modified ignition timing to make the remap suitable for UK super unleaded fuels without the need for Octane Booster
- Removal of the vehicle speed limiter for imported vehicles.

i have a uk classic 95 would i need to get this mapped for it to be safe if so where has the software around manchester thanks ...

 

Wormeo - I take it that you are still running octane booster?

The ECU is plug and play. It's really easy, there are instructions on his website, check out the link in the 1st post. These ECU chips will boost power to 1.1 bar and make it safe to run on SUL.

They usually go for around £300.

These are advertised on ebay for £195 + £5 delivery by this company, so £300 is not the 'true' retail price for them.

Having said that I've been after one at a discount for ages, so yes I'm in!
Any chance of negotiating a slightly lower price do you think?

Borat52 - I'll try and get them for less. I'll wait to see if we can get a few more people, then negotiate with him, will give me more of a bargaining tool!

 

HI mate do they do a map for uk wagon and jdm wagon and do you need to have any mods fitted ?

The chips are for imprezas that are standard or have an exhaust and IK.

They sell these on ebay, and state that it will not light the check engine light.

Spoke to Andy at ESL - there's no scope to move on price (they're dirt cheap anyway at £175 for five and £150 for ten!)

1.1bar is for the TD05 turbo Imprezas.
TD04 wagons will only boost to just under 1 bar due to the turbo which will only move enough air for just under 1 bar.

He has maps for most pre 96, imports, wagons and UK variants. Let me know your needs and I'll contact him.

We will also receive the free programming software with the chip!
