Default Group Buy on Headers (Zen Performance)

I have arranged with Paul from ZEN Performance to do a group buy on the headers pictured below.

These are very high quality header with all the usual benefits usually only found on more expensive setups. Slip joints, 3 bolt up-pipe flange and most importantly a very high level of finish quality internally an externally, all headers are relieved of any weld protrusions etc and blended in very nicely.

Included in this group buy is a roll of Exhaust Heat wrap 15m x 50mm DEI (enough to wrap headers and up-pipe) usually retailing at £44 + Vat from Zen or £55 + vat from Demon Tweeks.

The kit comes with a new header to up-pipe gasket as originals can be re-used in the majority of installations although new gaskets are available for the headers to head and up-pipe to turbo at extra cost detailed below.

Right the prices are as follows and payments can either be made direct to Paul@Zenperformance on 0845 055 9366 and he accepts debit and credit cards etc or they can be made via paypal to myself @ diggler@scoobycity.co.uk please note for Paypal payments please add 3.5% to cover fees.

Headers including 1 x roll of exhaust heat wrap.

£350.00

Headers pre-wrapped and ready to fit.

£399.35

Postage and Packaging

£12.50

3 x exhaust gaskets (Head to headers & Up-pipe to Turbo)

£30.00

All above prices include VAT

Please can you direct any questions regarding fitment etc to myself by email to info@tdcdevelopments.co.uk or by phoning 07710 505 770, if I do not answer the mobile please leave a message and I will contact you back as soon as I can.

This group buy will be running for 2 weeks and when finished please allow 12-14 working days for delivery via amtrak.

I will have to speak to Paul to confirm the exact make of the headers, but I can confirm they are un-equal length headers so they will retain the burble as such.

Thanks

is there much difference in performance between small bore & big bore headers?

I beleive the majority of headers are of a small bore design which is suitable for most applications, exhaust gas speed is affected by the size of the headers bore and therefore spool up times could be affected if an overly large bore design was used.

Will confirm with Paul and relay information here.

Thanks

The headers are probably what most people would call large bore. They are have no specific manufacturer, as they get boxed before the factory put the GT-Spec, Tomei or whoever label on them. They are exactly the same as the GT-Spec for those that want a comparison. They have a large bore up-pipe which is fitted with a venturi in it to give a portion with reduced cross sectional area. The spoolup seems to be no different from any of the other 4:1 headers I have tried or mapped cars with. For the gains they give (over standard headers) through the midrange and (depending on turbo) top end, the slight loss of spoolup is more than worth it. Unfortunately I don't have a simple before/after comparison as many people change more than one thing at a time.

Fitting can be done, but it will be strictly at our regular price, given the discount available on purchasing in the first place. Budget 3 hours (£39.50+vat per hour), could be only 2 hours depending on heat shields, seized bolts etc.

They retain most of the burble like most headers of similar design, turns into a nice howl at high rpm and load.

Paul

OK, I'll start then:-

1. MarksWRX, Headers pre-wrapped and ready to fit (x2), Delivered

Paul, do I have to wait until the group buy has run its course or can I order these from you now. My Megan headers are starting to blow, for the 3rd time, and I'd rather not go to the trouble of repairing them....again .

Cheers, Mark

I am sure that the group buy will have to run its course but plenty have shown interest and we need a minimum of ten sets to secure price. Hope for the GB to not run much more than 2 weeks though.

You need two sets then I take it Mark?

Current list then

1.MarksWRX, Headers pre-wrapped and ready to fit (x2), Delivered
2.Ray, Headers pre-wrapped , Delivered

Yep 2 sets for me my mate is suffering the same problems as me with the megan headers. As, I suspect, are most people with megans. Cheap carp.

they make the car quieter at idle/low speed and really come alive when you boot it
the increase in power and torque is the icing on the cake.

I've seen these first hand and the quality is top notch IMO. The price just makes them an amazing bargain.

Just to say a big thanks to diggler and zen performance for this group buy. The new headers are fitted and the car is running superbly. Much better than the crap megan headers that were on previously.
