New year so new bonnet damper thread As a lot of you may no I've been doing the bonnet damper group buys for some time and I'm now happy to add a range of coloured carbon effect dampers as well as the standard plain black option.

Although I've done plenty of gb's on here this is my first with the coloured carbon I have however done a private group buy recently which is why I have all the pics you see below and can can tell you what excellent quality they are.














And some fitted










And then the standard plain black:





I would need to confirm how many colours are available but the ones I no are 100% are :

Blue carbon
Black carbon
Red carbon
Purple carbon
Silver carbon
&
Plain black

If there are any other colours that are needed please ask away
and I will find out ASAP.

Ok so the group buy will run till the end of the month at which point I will need to take payment then and get the order in, it dose take a little while once the order is placed as they have to be made and then dispatched to my self and then sent recorded delivery to yourselves

Everything is included in the set needed to fit, no drilling is required as they use your existing wing bolt holes the only thing you will need is a cupple of spanners and 15- 20 min to fit them in. Very simple to fit even for a novice..

What bonnet weight these designed for chap?

They ok on classic alloy ones?

I had a set fitted to my type R a cupple of years back and currently to my spec c both have ally bonnets and never had issues... So will be fine

Hi buddy, I need to get in contact with the manufacturers to find out exactly what is what interms of exactly how there made but from what I no so far is the if you want actual real carbon they do do this but Unsure wether they are as you said dipped or wrapped.
The coloured carbon effect dampers I no are made from glass fiber and are actually more expensive that the real carbon dampers but at this point that's all I no.

Having seen the coloured dampers in hand I can say they do look awesome and u wouldn't be disappointed.

ive seen these on ebay for £47 am i right in saying this but they are the plain black ones

 

Hi Chucky, thanks for showing me this when doing gb's I generally keep an eye on eBay prices for the most part you have to import from abroad... So u have fees and delivery costs on top...

I just had a quick peek on eBay the seller is some one new as he has only sold one set ( Newage ) and actually non for the classic shape yet...

I'm unsure if these are the same or different to the ones I have as I don't no the seller but they are slightly cheeper at £52 inc delivery vs mine at £60 for the plain black, but I cannot see anyone selling the coloured carbon to date..


Leave it with me I'm going to do some digging if I can reduce the price of the plain black then I will but I will find out tomorrow...

Prices of the plain black and coloured carbon I've been able to reduce, the plain black now falls in line with eBay prices at £52 delivered from £60

The coloured carbon I've also been able to reduce slightly to £75 per set from £80

Don't bother with buying the ones off eBay coz the don't fit without doing a few mods on the brackets! i got some for my 06 HAWK and the seller claimed they fitted an 06-08 HAWK which clearly they don't, the ones Autotweeker sells on eBay are to big and rub on the wings when the bonnet is shut.

Thanks for clarifying on the other thread as I said I have never come across this problem before the only thing I can think of is that the person who sold them to you must have them mixed up with another model, he is a new seller on eBay looks like he has only sold a cupple up to date....

No worries m8, i think he's knocking out cheap copies of the ones you supply, i don't av the packaging that mine came in, but from what i can remember they looked pretty much the same as yours, even the labelling looked roughly the same and thats where the confusion came from, coz to mess ya about.
