I am trying to work out what is the best placement for the air filter using a fmic.

Inner wing or engine bay

 

I see a lot of guys putting it in the wing. My tuners advise was that it doesn't make much difference as the Turbo is going to heat the hell out of it, and then the intercooler has to do its work!
I like the idea of the inner wing though!!

 

I have since spoke to rcm about induction kits and he has suggested two
But I need to know if they will fit a hawkeye with a hdi gt2 fmic

Yes , the second pic will work just fine with the HD2 maf housing

 

mines is sort of like first pic but pipes under the filter in a hawk really not a lot of space with the big RCM filter but it works fine
