Default best vacuum line for boost gauge







Hi guys

first off am a scooby virgin. I this was a s14a , skyline, pulsar, 300zx I wouldnt be asking this question

Mods ive done

Its currently running andy forrest stage 1 map

ive now fitted

TD05 20g
3inch back system
equal length manifold
pink sti injectors
FPR
STI TMIC
Roger Clark induction fit
sti scoop and cooling panel
7 plugs
etc

its back off to andy next month for mapping again.

now when your running a bov where do you t into. I now its before throttle body but what one

(Don't no y pics ended at top of post )

T into the bov(one with 3 cable ties lol), what is that blue silicone line running past the alternator?

As above t in at the bov. Although i would take the top off the bov an spin it half a turn so the take of is on the right as we look at the pic.

There is a spring in there. Very easy to do though. remove the pipe. Undo the four screws keeping thumb pressure on the centre of the valve. Spin it. No need to even let the spring out. And do the screws back up

Quite a few places to take power from(depends where gauge is)
Can be taken from cigarette lighter or from the clock, but any switched live will do

Spun the bov pipe but befor I start cuntin hoses this is there rough fitting guide. Now it says t from bov to fuel pressure regulator but im rinning an after market with gauge. . Ive put a screw driver to both ends and is this where I t in to? Then back to boost sensor?

Its a filter that protects either a gauge sensor or the bov from little bits of muck getting into the mechanism. I would use it.

Anywhere along the line before the boost sensor. That's what I thought.

Do I have to t in to FPR . I dont see why?

Just done that before bud. Every thing mounted jut needs the power wired in

Just T into bov. Don't touch fpr/fuel pressure regulator. You want to read turbo boost pressure dont you? Not fuel pressure!

As above John, just tap into the tab lighter or the lights for the switched live.
