Default Help needed on part number/description.

Evening all,

Spent the morning giving my new scoob a bit of TLC; oil/filter change, new facia part, and rear hatch lock actuator, all went well, apart from the view from underneath whilst doing the oil change.

When I took off the skid plate I noticed that there was some serious corrosion on a part just in front of the oil filter. Apologies for my ignorance but I have no idea what it's called... I hope you can help.

Here's a pick I stole of the net....

Yep... it's the shiney bit

Does anyone know what it's commonly known as or have the part(s) numbers?

Cheers.

The shiney bits are the heat shields that cover the exhaust manifolds.

They usually rust around the mounting bolts/captivated nuts but not (usually) all over, especially if you have the undertray (skid plate) still fitted.

With the shiney bits removed, cleaned up and VHT painted before applying heat wrap ..........

That's excellent - thanks chaps!

I did have a close look whilst underneath and there doesn't appear to be any blowing anywhere so, just unsightly I guess.

After new rear tyres it'll be next on the list to do.

Thanks again
