Default rocker gaskets

my left side gasket is leaking slightly so engine smokes when hot until burnt away until next time its sat for a time. are they easy to replace, ive stripped inlet away before down to head so looks abit easier with all that away, any hints, tips on replacing i need to be aware of? any help will be great as never done one before, well in the impreza's position anyway.

make sure you buy genuine gaskets mate. i have just done both of mine. but my engine was out which made it alot easier. and also use a decent high temp sealer. i used cranville high temp stuff. from import car parts very good worked perfect for me and not a drip of oil now. make sure you remove the half moon shaped lugs and re-seal them.. i also put abit on bolt seals too... i done all this and mine are perfect..

the main thing is just making sure its all cleaned down. i used brake/clutch cleaner. and dry so you get a good seal.

Make sure you DONT over tighten bolts they can snap easy.

Use instant gasket (high temperature) in areas that are prone to leak (corners and around the cam bridges) and make sure everything is SPOTLESS before re-assembling.
+1 for replacing the half moons and bolt o-rings.
Also, if you're doing it with the engine in situ you may find it helps to undo the engine mounts so that you can jack up the side of the engine that your working on (you don't need to unbolt the exhaust or anything, just raise the motor slightly so that you can easily access the lower bolts).
