Default Dump valve

Hi my Scooby has been remapped with a standard dump valve on it have been thinking of changing it to aftermarket one would it need remapped again ??

As long as you use a recirculating dump valve there should be much of a problem

But if you use a vent to atmosphere type then yes you will need a remap as the air that the engine is expecting back in the intake when the dump valve goes off isn't there and you will run mega rich :S

And tbh, it's not really possible to map properly for that.

What about the opposite , if a car has been mapped with a vta valve will it need remapped after fitting a standard recirc ?

Shouldn't, since AFAIK, you can't properly map for a d/v or VTA.

How could you tell the engine, "only do this when he changes gear" etc?

If your running mafless go vta if you want shouldn't cause any issues
