Default Harvey trick up pipe or RCM Venturi up pipe

I have a 2.5 with an sc46 going on it, complete with tubular headers. Question is which up pipe to go for? Havery trick up pipe or the RCM Venturi up pipe?

Heard good things about the Harvey item, question is are the gains (if any) noticeable? More to the point is it worth the extra outlay of cash?

Bearing in mind that the harvey up pipe you order will be specifically made for you power targets, turbo and other factors and the rcm is generic i would say harvey.

Your goin to have people pitching for both sides with this 1

.. Besides that in mind , yes , it's important
& will make a noticeable differance in spool

... Whichever you decide , the cash outlay is worth it
If you don't
It's like having a dog with 3 legs
They can still run
Just not as well

The Harvey uppipe without a doubt,i have one fitted to mine and i personally dont think the car would have made the power it has or spooled the way it does without it.

I had the exact same uppipe fitted along with a Harvey smith ported 18g turbo and that made 385bhp at 1.5bar on v-power only, again this wouldn't have been possible without the uppipe imho.

As above. Harvey was a great friend, and I've seen some of the R&D that went into his trick up-pipe.

Mine is a 2.5 running an HS TD05 20g...it spools to 1 bar at 2800 rpm. 'nuff said.

Another vote for the Harvey up pipe here. I've been running an SC46 on my 2.5 for nearly 2 years and i thought the spool was pretty good however a few months back I had the up pipe and headers replaced and couldn't believe the difference it made.

Well worth the money IMO

Harvey spent alot of time fettling my car.... in his back garden some of the time
Consequently - I have a Harvey pipe with a MD321T+ (closer to V than a T). For a big turbo it spools quickly.

So a thumb up for the Harvey pipe here
I guess contact Alyn at AS Peformance - to see what he has

the "venturi" style do have a place but you wouldn't see much (if any benefit) until at extreme power levels, the "harvey smith" trick pipe will allow better spool/response and hence a greater spread of torque in general
