your old ecu wont run a sti8 engine as the wiring is different for the avcs

i understand the wiring is different but i thought i heard that you can modify the wiring from the tumble valves not 100%

You can use an Sti ecu but you will need the Sti engine loom to run the avcs heads or you can go aftermarket ecu and use your loom (use the wiring for the tgv's to run the avcs function). Alternatively, use your heads on the new Sti engine and you can retain your ecu and loom.

Hope that makes sense!

that sound like a good plan the sti engine loom is on the loom that is on the engine and plugs into the 2 square connectors ? if so thats nice and easy to change that and use a sti ecu also whilst im there can i run sti8 clocks in my car without changing wiring?
