If the head gaskets are gone, the coolant will be forced out of the system in line with the engine revolution. If you take the header tank cap off, does the coolant level rise and fall when the engine is running?

when you say the header tank is seeping, how do you know this? Is it a visable leak? If so i wouldn't bother to try to repair, just pick up another second hand one as they're pretty cheap.

0.5 bar sounds low, guessing the car has a boost gauge fitted and your getting this reading from that?

The water is like a brown color kind of rust color I guess. Oil looks nice and clean as does it on the dip stick etc seems to run smooth other than the low boost. How often does the engine fan cut in as my tempo sits around half way to a smidge under but fan doesn't come on

So is it leaking from the cap itself?

Clean the area up so it is dry and take it for a normal drive and see if there is anymore.
If this is, it will either be the cap or the head gasket.

As for the colour of the coolant, get it changed asap as that sounds nasty.

No its not leaking from the cap. Its a couple aod drips here and there from the pipes that come off the header tank.

There system isn't holding loads of pressure either seems good yesterday I done the engine cycle check everything seemed good, done the self code check all was good.

The guy said he had changed all the vacuum hoses which has me wondering if he has thrown the pill away I. The hose from the boost solenoid to actuator is it??

Spoke to a few garages yesterday who believe it seems like rust and poor maintenance ie not had a complete water change or no coolant so going to give that a go first.

Another thing I'm going to do is clean the solenoid also could I be getting low body because I used normal fuel??

As long as the car was not remaped for the one ron ie. 99 then you can use both 95 and 99 ron in the car for fuel.
