Default Forge DV (broken internal spring)

Hiya guys,

It's been a while since I last posted on here... All as been going well until now

2 days ago, I noticed the DV was releasing pressure all the time, even when accelerating under 2k revs... And idling ****ty and running rich.

I've seemed to have diagnosed the problem this evening, this was after the engine management light came on after a 2 mile round trip

After stripping down the unit I found the spring had snapped forcing the piston to stay open, pictured top right HERE

Can anyone please tell me the know of this spring and what PSI is will be. It is not colour coded so all I can guess is its standard from the factory.

I hope one can help.

Thanks

Forge have quite an extensive website with problem / solution
Your V T A will be listed with part number of unit & replacement parts .
More than likely be the blue spring if memory serves me
You can get these from forge direct or places like revolution 247
... Easy fix so don't worry
Sorry I haven't a link /

I've now found the spring in question, it comes with the service pack for the DV at the cost of £15

But now I need to know what model my unit is, the part number is FMDVSUB 01 or 03, I'm unsure cos the last number as rubbed away on the sticker, does anyone have a clue?

I do have a larger spring which is painted blue, this is not the broken spring, I now know I can get the spring within the service pack which is good, but now I'm stuck to which unit I have, hence my latest post

Have you spoken to Forge? In my experience they're very
Helpful, to the point of supplying springs foc.
