Default Inlet help

My standard inlet came away while I was taking the turbo off as I a had a billet wheel fitted to my TD-05 20g I have now fitted a decent aftermarket inlet that's obviously bigger over the oem one, the cars getting mapped soon as the wheel has been changed and I am going for alcatek so I am off boost at the min my question was does my turbo work ok with these after market inlets as someone has said my turbo does not work well with the silicone type ???
