Default Fitting uprated y pipe on newage?

Iv bought an upgraded y pipe and was thinking of fitting, is it easy enough to change on newage? How does intercooler come of? Will it produce running issues?

pretty easy just fiddly getting the pipes back onto the inlet and turbo when refitting.

Undo the clips on inlet and turbo and dumpvalve. remove to the bolts in the brackets each side and off it will come. As for running issues you will probably not notice a difference but it does help a bit with spool and is much stronger than the plastic one which like to split and deform. No need to map it lol.

Pretty simple to fit really, takes about 30-40 minutes. Just make sure everything is back where it belongs, you take care around the dv gaskets (That is if you remove it from the ic) and check then double check that the hoses are on correctly and tight. If you remove the pipe mounts from the underside of the ic make sure you use new gaskets too.

All done and fitted, it was on my newage wrx, does look a big difference compared to the plastic oem pipe. Simple but fiddly.

I was thinking about doing the same. Did you notice an increase in spool?
