Any MOT testers on here ?
I put the wifes car in for its MOT yesterday and it failed on the emmsions.
Pug 206 1.1 bla bla bla
What is that symbol that i have circled ? what did it actually fail on ??
The car had been standing for 13/14 months so could it be down to the fact that the fuel is **** ??
and it failed on both lower arm ball joints !!! FFS i know they are a total bugger to get out of the hub, everything is so tight

yea it failed on a blowing exhaust , i thought it would pass as it was but it must of been to much.
I dont know what the rules are on a blowing exhaust TBH, but if it doesnt effect the emmisions then a small blow would be fine " I HEARD" lol

fix exhaust ,a service helps like air filter breaths in cleaner air and with new plugs will burn better ,, also a bottle of injector cleaner would help get a decent 1 not a cheapy i like the wynns gold i think its called a litre bottle from halfrauds its £14 but my local motorfactors do it and it costs £9.99 from them does a brilliant job ..after you done all this sometimes it helps to disconnect battery for 30min to reset ecu ...
I did all the above when my renault runabout failed on emissons it passed second time as i did all of the above i also fitted a new lamba/02 sensor
also how old is the cat standing for that amount time with it getting damp could also **** up cat

If the cat was knackered it would fail CO. With lambda it's either because the exhaust is blowing or change the bank 1 sensor. I'd change the exhaust or fix the leak, technically your lambda is probably spot on, however a leak drags in air or dumps exhaust gasses before the tailpipe so changes the percentage lambda reading that the MOT test probe reads.
