Resonated Centre Sections

Is there any real difference between the standard subaru centre section and aftermarket ones with like the scoobyworld/cobra sport one with silencer ??

would be stainless steel for 1 ,better flow for 2nd , would also effect the sound slightly as matched up to the back box.
