Default Sti identification.

Hi there people, time for a bit of a noob question. I'm quite knowledgable about all cars and their different variations. I've got a 2000 turbo and I'm looking to upgrade to a classic sti after Xmas. I've only been in the Scooby scene for about 6 months. I've been looking at loads of ads and what is the best way to know that the car your looking at is actually an sti. Just want to be sure, any help would be appreciated
