Default Phase 1 Crank limits?!

Hi,

I had rebuilt my Ej20G a few months back, Forged Pistons, rods, ACL bearings, MLS gasket, big oil pump, ARP bolts. I replaced the heads with V4 STI rebuild heads.

My mechanic has just told me to be careful with high revs.
I was under the impression the V4 STI heads loved high revs? I was then informed the Crank doesn't like revs!???

Is the V2 and V4 crank the same? Is their a problem with high revs of my V2 Cranks?

I am hoping for a safe 400hp

Thanks
Dan

they are basically the same until mod v4 when they changed to rear thrust (yours will be centre thrust)

built (and mapped) correctly the crank should be no issue at 400 IMO
