Classic wagon window seal knowledge required
Hi! guy's I have a wet patch on the drivers side rear seat and it's coming from the drivers side rear window seal at the top. Just wanted to know if I have to buy a wagon specific seal or if the saloon seal fit's as they seem to be easier to get hold of second hand. Cheers Steve.
Hi, firstly have you tried opening the door and then winding the window up..sometimes they get stuck on the seal and wont close fully,
My way round this is to spray the seals with silicone spray to seal and lubricate ;-)

Steve, try:
1. Calling your local Subaru main dealer parts department and asking them. They can be quite helpful sometimes.
2. Opening two browser windows split screen on your PC. Go to Google Images in each window, search (respectively) "impreza classic wagon" and "impreza classic saloon" and compare from the photos. Riskier, but if they look the same then they probably are as Subaru never really had the budget to bespoke engineer many bodystyle variants in the early days.
3. Or, when you get in the back, both of you use the passenger side door, but let her get in first. That way there's more chance of avoiding a wet patch on the driver's side.
