Classic / Newage Exhaust Swap - Definitive Answer
There's a lot of conjecture about fitting classic exhausts to newage's and I'm looking for a definitive answer.
I have a full 3" Blitz system from a Classic that is like to fit to my Newage STi. I've been told I'll need to fit the whole system to get it fitting properly bar the front hanger on the backbox?
My other question is there isn't a 2nd lambda boss near the join of the DP and centre section - what is the best option here?
Finally - I currently have the PPP Sports Cat fitted - I'm guessing there's no chance of the classic centre and rear sections matching up to this and fitting well?
Thanks in advance guys :-)

Yes, if you fit the complete system including the downpipe it will fit and the length will be correct.
You should have a lambda boss at the top of the classic downpipe, so fit it in there, the wiring on your newage is routed along the near side of the gearbox, if you cut a few of the cable ties holding it, you will end up with it at the top of the bell housing, which is very close to the top of the downpipe so you can plug it in.
No chance, the newage downpipe is longer than the classic, so you would end up with the middle section and silencer brackets too far back to meet with the hangers on the car, also if the rear silencer doesn't foul the rear diff you would still have the tail pipe protruding way out past your bumper.

Brilliant, thanks for the response.
One more question - with regards to moving the lambda sensor, there is a boss at the top of the DP so that's fine but I thought there was one at the top and bottom of the DP in a Newage or is it just the one that's needed?
Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make sure everything is in place before I start taking things apart to find out it won't fit etc.
Cheers
