i think i have found the reason for my recent boost issues.
sometimes there is a loud whooshing noise when building up boost and when i hear that the dump valve wont go of and the car doesnt feel as quick. it has a bailey dump valve and thinking this is the cause .could it be leaking boost when building up ?

Could well be, what boost does it normally make if it's running ok? And what is it when it's running bad?

 

It only seems to run at 0.7 bar which I no is low anyway. Im going to clean the boost solenoid out today . I havent really looked when it sounds like its leaking but pretty sure its next to nothing as it feels like its not boosting .

I had the same prob with dump valve staying open

 

Get rid of the bailey dump valve and put a standard on.
