Default Performance springs? Reccomendations?

Hi. I'm just wondering if there is any aftermarket lowering springs that actually perform better than the standard springs?
Iv got a v5 type r and I want to lower it abit more (nothing drastic) just a better stance. But..I don't want to ruin the balding by doing this..I know Thers coilovers but I can't afford them ATM, so was just seeing if ther was a decent spring out ther? And Reccomendations? Cheers

One more thing make sure you change the bump stops as well when you upgrade your springs.SJ.
