I have a japanese WRX 1995. I run it on super unleaded petrol, have and induction kit and sequential dump valve. When i floor it in first, second, i get about 1 bar of boost, but when i get up to 5th and floor and keep flooring it, it refuses to give me anymore than 0.5 bar of boost, why is this ?

I have the same problem, but i think i may have found the problme this morning.

I notice that you have a different induction kit? is it the factory fit original hose coming out of the bottom of the boost solenoid????

if not this is what you are missing:





I found out that this small restrictor causes the boost to play about if not fitted in the bottom hose coming from the Boost Solenoid. I cut it out of the old factory hose to push in to the hoase that i have fitted, but i have not yet tried it, we wait and see

 

YOU SHOULD PROBABLY SEE ABOUT 0.7 - 0.8 BAR OF BOOST IN 1ST 2ND AND MAYBE UP TO 1 BAR IN 4TH AND 5TH ON THAT MODEL....DOES IT HAVE ANY OTHER MODS??? IS YOUR FUEL CUTTING LIKE YOU MENTIONED ??
