Default Blitz Nur Spec R V Nur Spec S

I have 06 sti. Question is do you need remap if you fit a spec R. Am I right in saying the spec s is the exact same as the r but only the backbox. Is the spec s not as loud as its just the backbox

Thanks

I have a Spec R on my classic, I'd say a remap or at least a check over would be wise

It's wide open all the way to the back.

R is a 3" centre section and backbox which tapers to 2.5" to couple upto your standard downpipe, the S is a 2.5" backbox only. ive had both. the R is very loud but you can get a bung to quieten it down. the S isnt quite as loud but still loud enough and easier to live with

you can take 3"(ive got it) its still bolt on to 2.5" standard downpipe- holes come with the same diameter.

I have to agree and disagree to some of the above. I have the s, as I have nothing else before it . Straight through. And trust me, it's LOUD. I must admit, changing the downpipe made a huge differance to the noise level . I've got a friend with just the nur spec r, with original downpipe and mine is way louder. But it's a crisp, lovely sound. I would suggest a remap, and typically, if you've already had a remap, it'll be just a little tweek and check and will only cost a few quid. Depending on the mapper. In my case, Duncan race dynamix. You near watford? Come and have a listen if you like.

Hope this helps.
