Has anyone any idea whats wrong with my blobeye saloon..............

went out yesterday and stopped the car after doing about 15 miles and when i tried to start it again it was dead,got it jumped off and kind of been allright since except when i put the headlights on the bulbs on the dash go dull.

even stranger when i put the handbrake on the headlights go dull and the heaters dont blow as fast and take the handbrake off and its back to normal!

has anyone had similar issues?

 

sounds like alternator isn't charging...

Make sure the car has a good earth very weird things happen when you don't.

 

check your battery connections are tight and good condition.

 

+1 either an earth or fan belt slipped off

 

just had it checked and its the alternator.my car is like a money pit!

 

Sounds like altenator... If it is £30 from any breakers and your good to go

Oops you did say it was!! But yeah a replacement will only set you back £20-30 from most of the breakers

 

thought it might be....when it stops charging the car only has the life in the batt and lights go dim and wierd **** happens.... glad you got to the bottom of it...

 

im going to get a new one,with my luck ide get a duff one from a breakers!

i thought my car was cursed with the weird light stuff going on lol
