My friend has a 07 1.5r and over the last couple of day rhe engine developed a slight rattle. Monday he was driving to work when the engie cut out on him and then became really noisey, he took it to a garage to see what the problem was, they have told him it will be 3-5k to fix. Now i have offered to change out the engine bu the problem is we cant find a 1.5r engine 4 sale. Can the non turbo 2.0 be sed instead.? Wha else would need changing ecu and loom and maby bigger front discs.?
