Default Camber issue.

Hi, I have a cambered 08 hatch. The fronts are cambered with bolts and are fine, however the rear is on uprated lower control arms. The camber has been adjusted correctly and one wheel seems to poke out the arch more than the other. It's not a great deal but can anyone advise what is wrong?? Faulty spring comes to mind but can't be sure.

Do you have a print out of the alignment settings that you can post up?

If it were the springs it would cause the ride height to vary on each side. If the ride height is the same then it aint the springs.

Kerbing or other shock loads can have an effect on the control arms and cause the slight misalignment you see.

Any reason you went with adjustable lower control arms rather than simple camber bolts? They give tons of adjustment but can be tricky to setup.

the other alternative is that the camber is not actually correct...

Hi there, thanks for you're reply.

Before I had my car aligned and set up me and my old man fitted the camber bolts and done them by eye, we did the same with the rear control arms but before we changed the arms the wheel was poking out anyway. The thing is, the rear seems to be cambered anyway, don't know if its cos it's decked but there is slight camber there. Does the rear have camber bolts? Wasn't sure and these arms went cheap so opted for them as the offer better bushing and riding stiffness. Anyway I've been today and had it tracked up and the arm adjusted, but I've only adjusted it to match the other side which is perfect and it still seems out. We measured one side and it does seem that the correct side sits lower than the side that's poking out.

Hi Dan

As previously I said you will need to run more camber at rear, which can be possible only via something like this

http://www.hptmotorsports.com/subaru...x-and-sti.html

You can't use at rear camber bolts, because you have different design of the rear shocks

Can you please post yours Wheel alignment ?
