Default Boost Pressure drop - Melted sensor cable to blame?

I've noticed my boost gauge showing 0.3 - 0.5 bar less pressure than she was mapped to however not noticed any drop in performance. Inspection under the hood showed the boost sensor hose was running right past the turbo and downpipe (the down pipe has no heat shield due to 3" upgrade) and has melted into a concave shape and went rigid.

I've recently been on a track day and she was puttin out some serious heat.

Do you think this drop in pressure at the gauge is down to the melted pipe. And how would I avoid it in future? Maybe put some exhaust heat wrap on the down pipe?

Anyone know what internal dim hose I need to replace this boost sensor hose for my Prosport boost gauge? I reckon it's 5-6mm ext, so 3mm internal?

Hi there

I think 7mm is correct(external size)

Yes melted boost gauge hose can cause those problems and how to avoid, heat wrap exhaust is good start there

Yeah, you should heat wrap the downpipe at least as the brake and clutch resevoirs sit just above it...
