Evening guys and girls!

I have a blob 05 sti dccd uk spec And have just checked the gearbox oil and I think it was low? When I say I think am I right in thinking it is a clearer oil than the engine oil? Also the mowder car was parked on a slight hill so this could also contribute?? Anyway I'm gonna park it on the flat tomorow and check again but any help or advice is greatly muchly appreciated!

Ps I was in Scotland last week working and why is there so many scoobs in Scotland????? It's like every other motor?? Crazy!!!

When checking the box oil level it's vital that the car is level. It's very fussy as to the attitude of the car. As you found the reading low, I would guess that the car was facing uphill?
The oil doesn't get the contamination that engine oil gets so it (should!) stays nice and clear.

Yeah mine was changed recently and its a nightmare to see it on the dipstick its so clear

 

Hi, just checked it and as you say the car was facing uphill but checked on a flat and it was fine, very slightly below full so I'm happy with that. Also Very clear oil.
