Default fuel pump wires

hey i just bought the swrd fuel pump and i am yet to look into fitting it , i was just wondering as i have been reading loads of posts , that i would have to splice wires togeather , how hard is this ? is there any guides of the splicing part of the install ? would be good to know so i down blow my self up , thanks for your help all i seem to do is post for help haha

I replaced my pump, albeit with an HRC, and it was just plug and play. There was a spare plug that I could've used but decided against that.

you'll only need to splice if your car is MY99 or earlier. MY00 onwards got the plug fitting

has any one got a photo of the splicing part , i still dont understand it i cant see it in the photo's on the guides ,

Its simple enough when you take your pump out there is two wires with push on connectors you join these to the wired plug supplied with swrd pump

hey guys i just attempted this tonight , and no luck the fuel pump aint getting power i dont understand why any ideas ?

ive broke it , any ideas on help , it all seems to be getting power but the pump isnt working , any one know what voltage the pump should be getting , maybe its a relay as i read in ither posts any ideas at all ?

is there power going to the electrical plug on top of the fuel tank?

yes mate , thats why im baffled , ive got a mechanic coming out tomorrow to have a look , so hopefully it will get fixed tomorrow and not cost me much money , ill let you know what it was if he can fix it , he said maybe a fuse when i was talking on facebook to him but i couldnt find a blown fuse

If there is power going to electrical plug on top of tank then its not fuse or relay. Is there power going to plug on pump itself

hey got it sorted , turned out it was the connector going into the pump , it wasnt makking a full connection when pluged in properly had to do a bit of diy and got it working
