Default Hawkeye Decat

Hey folks getting my Decat fitted tomorrow before i head offshore

it wont be getting remapped until august sometime when im back

ive been reading on here and people say that the Hawks overboost like mad without a remap

My car might be driven once a week just for a few miles but no thrashing

would i be alright to just run wastegate pressure (Sure this would solve the problem over overboosting ?)

if so what should i disconnect and where?

cheers

steve

I wouldn't say you need to worry, but I wouldn't mess around with the waste gate to up your boost at all, just do it proper and get a map when your back

If you are paranoid, you can disconnect the wastegate actuator and run bugger all boost. It is a remove circlip jobby.
This is what I did for running in (1000 miles) before remap with bigger turbo. It was OK.
