Default Remove cat

Little problem need to change the cat on my 94 wrx, took heat shield of, top 2 bolts out but some *** end has mullered the nuts on the studs. Been wd40 but no luck any suggestions???

Can you use one of those sockets with pins in that grip to any shape?

You can buy special sockets to remove chewed nuts...

Something like these:

I've used the bigger ones to remove alloy wheel locking nuts before, with plenty of success!

Went to screwfix and yup worked a treat cat now off thanks again. now waiting for new gasket and nuts,,
