Due to my version 4 engine gone and can't seem to find one anywhere,, I been offered a closed deck version 1/2 impreza cheap due to gearbox gone,, how hard is it to put this engine in my car? Would I have to change the ecu and loom

Would I be able to still use my inlet manifold? And would I be able to user vf24 turbo, as this has td05 top entry turbo

I'm only after the engine from car really but would have everything there if needed and can sell the rest on

 

You can use your inlet manifold so you will be able to use current loom fitted to your car, VF24 will fit as the inlet pipe will run under V4 inlet manifold.

 

The long engine is a direct swap, so pull out your engine and heads,and replace with the V4 and go , keep orig inlet mani, loom, turbo etc

 

So I can put the v1/2 engine in as long block., bolt all my inlet turbo etc to and will plug up the same,, how will my ecu run this engine tho,, I'm unsure if it is a sti lump?

 

Need to use your v4 heads mate.
