Default HELP Please

Hi I am new to the forum. I bought a subaru impreza wrx sl 2003 from a garage on wednesday it has been driving fine until this evening the engine management light came on the dash? I dont know what to do any help would be much appreciated. The modifications that have been done to the car are h & s down pipe, magnex slash back box, magnex mid section, uprated walpro 255 fuel pump, iridium spark plugs, prosport boost gauge, forge dump valve and has been remapped. Any advice would be great thanks Ryan

You need to get it plugged in and see if any fault codes come up!

I was thinking that mate not really wanting to fork out more cash since just bought the car! Think the car had another kind of induction kit on it and the guy put standard box back on maybe that causing it?

could just be a sensor, but you really need to get the code first, I just use a Bluetooth obd2 reader from ebay cost £13 and I use the app torque on my Samsung s3 phone, works brilliant reads all codes and can clear faults and do data logging etc etc,

Get it into Ian Grieve's, they are in Falkirk. My Spec D was from a guy in Falkirk, and the full sevice history was from there.

STOP take it back to the garage and see if they can help. Sales of goods act etc you have rights. be polite and say the engine light came on on the way home from purchase...

Did you take it for a test drive when you purchased it?

Go with robsy uk advice but probably be a easy fix unless you have noticed the car running funny or if it has limited it self so you cant rev it to high it will be simple so dont panic but like robsy uk says you have consumers rights wirh the garage you bought it from just be polight and stay calm

Been to local garage fault code p0171 came up he said its historical. Says car is in great condition maybe to much oxygen flow in exhaust. Anyone had this before?
