Default Anyone know about Foresters...?

Just on the off chance guys - hoping someone on here has good spannering experience on Foresters..?

I have a 2001 2.0 non turbo with 87k miles. There's a bottom end like knocking above 2000rpm - and a friend has a spare known good engine sitting in his shed.

Would seem to fall into place, but the spare engine is from a 1998 Forester - so can anyone tell me whether there'll be any transplant issues please?

Any ideas/suggestions/shared experiences very welcome.

Regards

Andy H

The only other thing that will stop you if the inlet manifold bolts set up if different some on a straight line some zigzag, if different swap the heads job done
