Default After market exhaust issue

Cracking forum :-) ....
Thought I would pick ya brains :-)
I just purchased a 2001 uk wrx bugeye wagon ...
Purchased a after market (tasteful) exhaust ..
Went to fit and the centre pipe it to long ... About a couple of inches .
The back box looks the same ( didn't try to fit it as didn't see the point :-( ) .
Contacted the supplier who argues the toss its the right one for my car lol ..

The exhaust that is on is standard completely ... Just seems strange ..

Gunna ring them back in the morning , just wondered if you guys had any thoughts please

Matt
P.s I know through owning gtbs they changed them all over the place

Cheers , that's what I was thinking :-)
At least I'm not mad lol
Back box looks similar but haven't tried to fit it yet but the hangers look the same ( I hope )

I just thought I'd check as with the leggy gtbs the salon one is shorter than the estate ..
Didn't know if it is the same on the impreza
