Default WRX PPP Power Mods

Hi All,

I've had my '03 WRX PPP Wagon for a few months and i'm after more power already .

So parts I'm looking to source are:

TD05 16G (Top or Front entry, i'll convert if I get a top)
Decat up-pipe
3 Port Boost solenoid
255L Pump
STi Pinks
Panel Filter

I'm going to keep the WRX intercooler as I only want to run around 320 Bhp.

I'm fine with fitting all the parts the question I have relates to mapping.

What I want to do is bulk fit everything then have the car mapped the next day or so. But as the car is a PPP can the PPP ECU be mapped to suit the above mods or is it better to buy a standard ECU, fit that then have that mapped to suit?

Cheers,

Scott

Most mappers with be able to use your existing ECU and just flash a map over it. Give any of them a call and I'm sure they will sort you out.

Also I'd suggest changing your WRX IC for and STI one if you want the most out of your remap, for the sake of £80ish its worth it.

I don't want to kill the car though, I've heard the WRX intercooler is good for 330 Bhp or so, so I'd rather keep it a that or slightly under .

330!? Not heard that before. Thought it was out of puff at 300 at the most. You can always have the car mapped conservatively with the STI TMIC. Good luck with it anyway, post your results up.

Apparently the WRX TMIC will do 330 - 350 from what I've read. I'm only looking for around 320 anyway.

I have pretty much the exact same setup that you're looking at getting on an 05 WRX and I'm making 320bhp, although I must admit I'm getting the STi TMIC just for the sakes of reliability.
