Default Interior help please

Hey I'm looking into getting a new interior for my 1995 impreza saloon classic. What I'm wanting to do is install blue and black STI seats front and rear and door cards. I no it's probably a difficult question but was wondering from what year and model of impreza a will fit in to my 95 classic.

So far I think i no please confirm/ correct me

Facelift- facelift front and rear seats a direct bolt on replacement and door cards do fit but require wire modification and am I right in thinking the dash gets in the way too?

New Age- again I think I'm right is saying that the seats front and back are a direct replacement? The door cards I have no idea of.

That's all I've managed to come up with from hours of searching. Any help will be great thank you

Hi cozzy I have a classic wagon and I fitted the Newage sti seats and to be honest I hated them made me sit way to high and just didn't like the ride afterwards and ended up selling them, they looked great but only the drivers side could the height be adjusted and even after lowering it was still too high, I'm about 6ft tall so before you decide to change seats make sure your happy with the extra height, do a search on here the see how they felt, I'm trying to put you off just telling you my experience with the seats and if u still want them I wish you the best mate

I have STi 8 seats in a '97 GL (earlier dash and door cards) If you're not ~6ft then this setup is great.

Re the door cards, I also have a '99 WRX and the door cards on later classics suck in comparison. Don't waste your time or money, they are of poor build quality and look tired.

What you could do is get a trimming specialist to sexy up your earlier cards like I did

Thank you for your reply customboy. Never even considered the height if I'm honest so am very glad you have mentioned it. Do you no if its the same issue with all models on the STI seats and also was it the same with the back seats? Will defo not be able to handle my head against the Celing. If so I'm going to have to reases my options as its a fair bit if money for a gamble. All I want is a blue and black interior don't care if its STI to be honest. Thanks for your reply mate

Hello riiida thank you for your reply. How was the fitting of the seats mainly the rears. Any modification required. I'm 5ft 10 so not quiet 6 ft. Also if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay to have your 4 door cards trimmed?

Thank you Shaun

The door card trimming wasn't cheap, but then I wanted alcantara £300-350, but it was worth it IMO (Oxted trimming)

You are on the tall side so you could look into getting early newage front seats which I'm lead to believe are a bit more bucketted (the black/blue early ones are sometimes referred to as STi7) Example photo below, notice the diagonal stitching for identification of said seats

Regarding the rears, easy enough, but you have to get a bit persuasive with one of the lower brackets to make it line up. Also the rear of the seats have exposed yellow foam visible from above the rear shelf so I trimmed it with black cloth / speaker box carpet. It does the job as my rear window is tinted.

noteworthy:
The sti's have a rear support beam behind the rear seat, I just used a plywood cut out in the shape of the 'firewall' to give the back bench some support, I also mounted a free-air subwoofer to it.

That is perfect thank you very much mate very informative and spot on. I like the sound of trimming the door cards to be honest and £300 is a lot but I also think its worth it as your ones look top notch.

Going to try the new age STI 7 seats then. Thank you for all your help

My dad is F603 and we put hawk sti seats in his classic.

The rears were a little bit of a pain but we've had no issues at all with ride height. Compared to mine, (V4 STi) the seats are comfier however they're less supportive. My dad is a lot wider than i am so gets on better with them.

As for the interior, if you pm ting tong pj he should be able to flock the material blue for you for a lot cheaper than sending them to an interior specialist.

Thank you Markfey. I've heard the term flock before just wondering what it is and how it works. Sorry I'm not just new to subarus but the whole car scene in general and eager to learn.
