Just put the engine back in my classic after the head gaskets had gone, to find that the clutch was dropping to the floor with no resistance.
After bleeding the slave cylinder to rule that out i decided to pull the gearbox out.
The problem i found after taking the release bearing off and trying it the pressure plate was that the locking ring wasn't holding it securely and alowing the bearing to just slide in and out with ease.

Anybody had any issues like this and can shed some light on it.
