The water temperature gauge on my classic STI has stopped working, could someone please let me know where the sensor is located so I can check connections etc.

 

It's on the front of the engine behind the alternator and drive belt. It's connector faces upwards. One wire. (The one with two wires is the one used by the ecu, a different beast).

The oil pressure switch is nearby, but larger.
