Just bought a 2008 impreza sti hatch. It's totally standard. I expected the exhaust to have a rumble of some sort but the car is really quiet? Is this normal and if so what's the best change to make to get a note of some sort. Thanks

 

Hayward & Scott back box and de-resonated centre section should give a nice burble. Not a fella hatch owner but would imagine the OEM system to be very quite anyway to keep inline with regs.

 

Cheers for that! Also looking to buy Coilovers. They are advertised as to fit a grb. My chassis number starts grf ?? Will they fit? And also what is the difference between grb and grf?? Thanks! :-)

 

GRB I believe is 2008 and onwards on STI models. GFR-CBA is 2010-2013 I think? Might want to confirm that with someone with more knowledge on that era.
