Default URGENT...lost all coolant!

Hey guys! A very strange thing happened to me recently...I ' ve changed thermostat on my classic few weeks ago...I went for a drive and everything seemed perfect..but I also took the headers of...and I could immediately see the coolant driping from above the thermostat. I thought it was just a hose ..so I was gonna change it..but when I put new headers on and started the car...all of the coolant started to leak badly...So I turned the engine of and tried to see where it was coming from..and it looked like it was coming from somewhere above the oil sump...I really don't know what to do now...and I'm p1ssed cause I haven't drove my car for two weeks

Any opinions are very welcome...as I really wanna have a car ready
Thanks in advance

water pump is above stat along with 2 rubber pipes coming off the right hand side of the pump - either of these can leak badly.
Modine hose comes off the left hand side of the pump and connects to a metal pipe which sufferes from corrosion.

Water pump driven by the timing belt. Have to take belt off then you can get at bolts to remove it. Took me 3 to 4 hours but i also changed timing belt pulleys etc whilst in there.

I had exactly the same thing happen last week! Changed the thermostat and put in some premix coolant and pretty much straight away the water pump shat itself!

To get in there the timing belts got to come off.

More likely to be the crossover pipe. Easy enough to change and they DO corrode badly.

Take off rad, it's easy to get at, more so if you remove the front bumper.

Dealer or specialist will supply a new one.
