Default Gear box oil recommendations please gents

As title please chaps.

It's a 2002 Bug WRX running about 340bhp (I'm aware of the gearbox limitations) but as my mapper suggested, get a decent branded fully synthetic oil in (75/90).

I've done a quick search, but had no consistent answers.

Are there any tuners that can suggest a good oil that suits everyday normal driving, with the occasional spirited drive.

Thanks in advance. Chris

Ahh, I presume the rear diff obviously uses a different oil.

Absolutely spiffing, cheers for the link.

The Castrol Universal 75w-90 and B373 are fairly basic options, although they are fine to use. A synthetic, like Millers CRX, Motul Gear 300, Gulf Competition or Redline 75w-90 GL5 NS is an upgrade over the Universal in the gearbox.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-673-75w-...ion-fluid.aspx

The Fuchs Syn 5, Millers CRX, Redline 75w-90 GL5, Motul Gear 300 and Gulf Competition are ideal for the diff. The Fuchs Sintopoid, Castrol Syntrax Longlife, Millers TRX, Motul Motylgear, Mobil SHC and Amsoil FGR are also good choices. Even with the LSD, you don't need a LSD specific oil.

Cheers

Tim
