Default 2001 bug sigma alarm

hi all. i have a 2001 bugeye scooby, today the key fob decided to give up so i couldn't lock or start the car, i only have 1 fob and i don't know the pin, i am going to remove the sigma alarm, is there a "how to" anywhere or could someone possibly give me an idea on how to do it? cheers.

have u tried a new battery in your fob

yep new batteries fitted. i keep having problems with the alarm so i think it's probably best to remove.

I don't know my code either and both my fobs are playing up! If I could i would take mine out!

i'm defiantly going to remove it, i was just wondering if it is a diy job or if it is best to take to an alarm specialist.
