Default Exhaust without Remap options

Hi guys,

Basically, I have a rattle up front only on occasions. It sounds exhaust related as the block sounds fine and is pulling very strong with no oil loss.

I've read up on Cat-breakdowns, so I have narrowed it down to that.

I don't want to decat due to MOT issues. But if a change is to be made, an upgraded one would be my choice.

Currently I have the prodrive backbox.

What options do I have, exhaust-wise, which don't require remaps.

Adam

model? year? most people say you can have a cat back system without a remap, certainly true with the classic but not sure with a newage as i think there may be a cat in the mid section... but not 100% on it.

My bad.

2005 WRX Blob.

There is a pre-cat (before turbo), then two cats after I think?

As above mentioned heat shield: the welds holding the heatshield on the up pipe break and it makes a hell of a rattle. Drove me mad until I welded the shield back to the pipe.. Can be done on the car from underneath. Check to see if the heat shield is loose on the up pipe fella.
