If I am running a swirl pot and external (secondary) pump can I bin off the standard filter and run an uprated one (post the bosch) only?

Alternatively do I even need an uprated filter, or is the standard one suffice?

 

i ditched the standard filter and run an in line filter between the swirl and secondary pump ..... think thats pretty much the norm.
