SC32 Billet on 2.5 WRX?
I am after some more power from my hawkeye and would like input from anybody who has fitted an SC32 Billet to a 2.5?
I am not chasing big numbers, 300-320 is more than acceptable - what i would like is a responsive car with minimal lag - a good point to point car that is fun on the road. It is a road only car and wont ever see the track.
Will the turbo be OK on the 2.5 - no problems with creep higher up the rev-range? - Car has a decat downpipe so no real back pressure to help with that.
I would rather not go down the second-hand VF route as for the minimal extra cost i get a reciept, warranty and rebuilt turbo - this car is a daily driver.
Thanks, Rick

It'll spool before you start the engine, lol.
If you're after an awesome point to point daily driver I can't imagine a better combo.

I cant really comment on the turbo but If you have problem with creep I'd advice porting the wastegate on your own turbo before changing also the car will need a remap to get the most from it

I was just wondering if creep would be a problem, i suppose i could ask for the wastegate to be ported before being supplied to help with that (if it happens?)

I know i definately dont want to push past 310-320 bhp though - I am not getting into the game of an unreliable car (of course things could still go wrong but i dont want to push things)
Its a daily driver, i want it to be fast but not worried about future upgradability - isnt the SC36 more of a 380bhp turbo?
Plus i would rather keep the engine lower in the rev-range as it is a chocolate 2.5 :-)

Have you had your car remapped? My hawk is 290 bhp and 350 torque thanks to a decat and JGM. Goes well on the standard turbo with no lag.

No remap yet no, i am happy to replace the turbo though @£500 as in reality it does not add that much to the list of clutch / mapping / exhaust fitting and would be much more expensive in the future to get the car remapped and pay for turbo fitting seperately.
This way i can drive in / drive out with a 6k mile service, exhaust, map, pump (if needed) and clutch done and a fresh car for the summer - All issues ironed out at the dyno and nothing to worry about.
The more done at once the more chance of a deal in terms of cost too...
